Prayer to St. Francis

There’s providence in every sparrow’s fall,
And even in the fall of every leaf;
These miracles are not beyond belief,
Though far beyond our power to understand;
Our own lives are as meaningful, as brief –
Pray, Francis, for the sparrows on our hands.
